New Obama Supporter

I have to say that before November 4 I was a McCain supporter. At first I was disappointed that he lost, but then I realized that there is no reason in complaining about our new president just becuase he isn't the one I would have voted for. As a Christian, I believe that God chose Obama to run our country for a reason. He has a plan for the United States in the coming 4 years and that includes Obama. I think it is pointless and stupid for any McCain supporters and those who have the NOBAMA stickers on their cars to bash him and not respect and support him. He is the ruler of our country, not McCain and that isn't going to change. He deservers our respect because God calls us to obey our leaders. Hebrews 13:17 says, "Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you". The author or Hebrews makes it very clear that God is telling us to show obedience to those that are in authority over us. God has called us to respect and obey President elect Obama which involves praying for him; not insulting him. I am now an Obama supporter because he is the leader of my country.

Impossible should be renamed to addicting

There is this game called the impossible quiz that is literally addicting. Ever since I have been introduced to this game I can't stop playing it. My journalism teacher despises it because half of our class just play it all day instead of blogging. So I decided to blog about it =). The game is extremely strange. The questions are reandom and most of the time the answers don't make since. Whoever invented it is definately very creative. Today in class I found out that there is a second one...I am extremely excited but at the same annoyed. I know that I am going to be addicted to the second one too and a lot of times, I don't want to play it but I do anyways. It's like my body is taking over me. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.....have fun!

I will not take responsibilty for anyone who also becomes addicted....BEWARE!

Please play responsibly!

Someone help!

They say that your junior year is your hardest and now that I am going through it, I completely agree. It's only been 5 weeks and I have been stressed literally for 35 days straight. This year's classes have been overwhelming; to make it worse I have to combine that with softball. We have softball everyday so I never get to start my homework and studying until almost 7:00 on a good night. The two combined have led me to tears way too much. I am a person who really does not cry that much but these past 5 weeks have brought on more tears combined than this entire year! I get overwhelmed by my studying for classes like AP biology and just freak out cause I have so much to do I don't know where to start...needless to say I am ready for the rest of the school year (which is like the entire school year) to go ahead and finish. In May I will be proud to say that I have survived my junior year, but right now I'm not sure if I can make it til then!

"No, I refuse to!"

So im sitting here eating my Easy Mac trying to think of something i could write about, which I have been doing all day. This idea just popped in my head so I'm going to take it and run with it...Does a task which you are told to do make you not want to do it? For me it does in certain situations. I realize that someone who doesn't want to do what they are told might have an authority problem but it's only certain things that make me want to do this. Alot of things I can do with no problem like fixing my dinner, doing some chores, running errands, and lots of things similar to that, but other things I can't take. For example, I play softball at my school and everytime my team practices or plays we have to pick up the equipment afterwards. The upperclassmen do get senority most of the time and don't have to clean, but there are those times when a coach or senior asks me to get something. This is the instance when I want to tell them no and to get it themselves. This sounds a little harsh and it might be but i absoluetly hate picking up the bats, helments, and other things. Don't ask me why, but when someone tells me to help clean up in softball. I would gladly pick something up if I was in the mood to or if I did it out of my own will. This is a weird example...sorry. It is not only this simple stuff that doesn't really matter. There are also some deeper things ,that I'm not going to go in to, that when I'm told to do, I don't want to. I guess it is the independent side of me that makes me like this and I probably should try to remove it from me. I think many others are just like this. For some reason, people want to do things on their own time and on their own terms. They do not want people telling them what to do. Going back to what I said earlier it is definately some kind of authority problem. I honestly think it is our society that has made us like this. We think the world revolves around us therefore we can do what we want, when we want, and how we want it. The world today is teaching us to be selfish and we are excepting it. As time has progressed, one thinks more and more about themselves and less and less about others. I hate to say it but I know that sometimes I am like this and I think that everybody else is guilty of it too. One thing to think about is: What would the world be like if everyone started thinking less about themselves and more about others? I think I have gone off on a tangent, maybe not, but it's just something to ponder.

A World Without Men

So,some girls were talking about our random needs for chocolate.or pickles,or any other random foods that we might ever be craving, and it brought up what we would be like if guys didn't exist. I honestly have to say we wouldn't care as much about stuff. For example, girls have this weird and strange thing in their head telling them to always to be skinnier and to always look gorgeous...no offense guys but this partly comes from you...so if guys were gone we wouldn't have to worry about our weight or what we ate in front of them. I don't think we would go as far as not showering, like some guys do, but we probably wouldn't fix our hair, or do our make-up, or pick out "super-cute clothes", like we try to do everyday. In other words Stacey London and Clinton Kelly will probably kill us......There are many things that we wouldn't do like I have mentioned above but that doesn't mean I would want to leave those things out of my life. I personally like having guys around because if there was just girls there would be way too much drama, fighting, and gossip. I think I would go crazy because when you put too many girls together for a long period of time it has potential to be a living nightmare. The way God created girls and guys is perfect because they seem to balance out each other. A world without one or the other would be miserable. Also, I, and many other girls, enjoy getting dressed up and looking good becuase well, we're girls and thats what we like to do sometimes. I'm not really sure why, but fixing my hair, putting on my make-up, and picking out those "super-cute clothes" makes me feel good. Again, don't ask me why becuase it's a girl thing that is impossible to explain. If there were no guys then there would be no reason to get cute and to feel pretty, and I would really miss it and feel really gross and bummy all the time. So thank you guys for being around to keep girls looking good!

Stereotypes are Overrated

On Wednesday of this week, the telegraph printed an article that seemed to have caused an uproar. The title was "Three FPD teachers returning to classroom atfer having children". Sounds like a simple, nice and sweet type of article and it was. Nothing in the article was negative but a whole lot of negative came out of it. The small article brought on six pages of comments. Some comments were cheerful and complementing the teachers while others were thinking it was a boring article. What caught my attention ,and many of others, was the dispute of private vs. public schools. The stereotype that people give private school kids is that they are are rich, spoiled, and stuck up. A stereotype is also given to public school kids (as it is mentioned in the comments) which is that they're drug addicts, gang members, or pregnant. Both of these molds given to the two different types of schools is crazy and ridiculous because they are mostly not true. Yes, alot of private school kids are rich but not necessarily spoiled or stuck up...though some are. Moreover, some public school students are drug addicts, gang members, or pregnant but not even close to all of them. People should not just give someone a title just because of what school they go to. Most of the time children don't get to choose where they go to school. I attend FPD and I have to say that there are a ton of really sweet, non stuck up students here. Also alot of us aren't your typical "rich kid". I would say that a ton of parents who send their kids to FPD work their tails off to pay the tution. If it is not already shown, i think to categorize people in general is stupid. You can't judge a person until you meet them because before you do that you know absolutley nothing about them and don't have the right to make out what kind of person they are.
